Job summary

LHH in California is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate daily scheduling and dispatch of contractors to job sites. You will ensure timely communication of assignments, locations, and requirements while optimizing efficiency.

Union experience is a plus; the role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with construction and field service operations is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or coordination roles required.
• Experience in construction, field services, or equipment operations preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch contractors to job sites based on project needs, priorities, and availability
• Communicate clear and accurate job details, including scope of work, location, timelines, and special instructions
• Monitor daily operations and adjust schedules as needed to address delays, changes, or urgent requests
• Maintain ongoing communication with contractors and internal teams to ensure alignment and timely completion of assignments
• Track job progress and update records, schedules, and dispatch logs in real time
• Coordinate equipment and resource allocation to support job requirements
• Resolve scheduling conflicts and respond to issues quickly and effectively
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to dispatch activities
