Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Field Director for Cardiovascular Metabolic MSLs in the Central Plains US region, covering UT, AZ, NM, CO, KS, WY, SD, ND, with on-site responsibilities in Las Vegas, NV. The role focuses on leading a regional MSL team and aligning medical engagement strategies with cross-functional partners.

Qualified candidates will have a Doctorate/Master's/Bachelor’s in a relevant field and 4–10 years of Medical Affairs experience, plus at least 4 years of managerial leadership.

Qualifications

• Doctorate, Master’s, or Bachelor’s degree with significant Medical Affairs experience
• 4 years of managerial experience directly managing people or leading teams
• Minimum qualifications include advanced scientific/medical credentials and leadership capability

Responsibilities

• Lead a regional team of MSLs to execute medical activities and strategic objectives
• Ensure compliant scientific engagements with healthcare decision makers and stakeholders
• Mentor direct reports and assess readiness and competency in therapeutic areas
• Collaborate with Global Medical, Field Sales, Value and Access, and Marketing to align engagement strategies
• Oversee budget input and resource allocation for the therapeutic area, ensuring efficient use of resources
