Job summary

Amgen, a leader in biotechnology, is seeking a Field Director, Cardiovascular Metabolic MSLs for the South Central US. This field-based role manages a region of MSLs, drives compliant medical plans, and partners with cross-functional teams to advance scientific engagement.

You will coach teams, hire and onboard MSLs, contribute to budget planning, and help shape the strategic medical objectives while upholding Amgen values and commitment to patients.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree & 4 years of Medical Affairs experience OR equivalent.
• 4 years of managerial experience directly managing people.
• Preferred: Pharm.D./Ph.D./M.D./D.O. and 7+ years in Medical Affairs.

Responsibilities

• Lead a regional team of MSLs and guide medical strategy.
• Ensure compliant and meaningful scientific engagements with stakeholders.
• Coach direct reports and provide performance feedback.
• Coordinate regional field medical activities with cross-functional teams.
• Manage budgets and resource allocation regionally.
