Job summary
Codeworks, an LRS company in Madison, WI is seeking a Technical Support Engineer for a long-term contract. You will install, troubleshoot, and support desktop hardware, printers, scanners, and AV systems across Wisconsin.
The role requires 2+ years of desktop support and knowledge of LAN/WAN networking. AD/Group Policy skills and Windows Server experience are a plus. Travel 25–50% across the state is expected.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Technician, or related field.
- 2+ years of desktop support, technical support, or field service experience.
- Experience installing, configuring, repairing, and maintaining computer hardware and software.
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking.
- Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
- Experience supporting printers, scanners, and peripherals.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain computers, printers, scanners, and related peripherals.
- Provide onsite and remote technical support to end users.
- Support audio/visual and video conferencing technologies.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and connectivity issues.
- Perform equipment deployments, upgrades, and field service activities.
- Document technical issues, resolutions, and installations.
