Job summary

Bishop & Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced Assistant Field Engineering & Deployment Manager in Houston, TX to support engineering projects from design through installation, commissioning and field deployment.

This hands-on role blends technical problem solving with field execution and project coordination, reporting to the Senior Site Manager while engaging clients and stakeholders throughout project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
• 5–7+ years of engineering experience in project engineering, R&D, testing, commissioning, field engineering or deployment.
• Hands-on field installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Willingness to travel for project and deployment support.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering, testing, installation, commissioning and deployment activities.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership during site work, testing, troubleshooting and system implementation.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering efforts across mechanical, electrical, controls, instrumentation, structural and related disciplines.
• Develop field execution plans, testing/commissioning procedures, schedules and technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot system integration and technical issues during testing and deployment.
• Coordinate engineers, technicians, field crews, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Serve as a technical interface for clients and stakeholders throughout project execution.
• Lead or participate in client meetings, design reviews, project updates, readiness reviews and demonstrations.
• Prepare technical presentations, field reports and client documentation.
• Monitor deliverables, schedules, risks, resources and field activities; drive issues to resolution.
• Support proposals and business development with technical scopes, estimates, schedules and field strategies.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote a collaborative, safety focused environment.
• Travel to project sites, client facilities and supplier locations as needed.
