Job summary

Sapience AI Corporation is seeking a Forward Deployed Backend AI Engineer to build the backend integrations that connect Sapience AI to customer environments. You will deploy MINERVA/COGENT with the customer and ensure secure, reliable data handling across CRM, AMS, and knowledge bases.

You will own end-to-end deployment patterns, adapt platform reasoning to customer domains, and deliver reusable solutions that accelerate future deployments while maintaining strict trust and security standards.

Qualifications

• Five or more years building backend systems in production.
• Experience with data pipelines, APIs, and integrating disparate systems.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML systems, including LLMs and retrieval.
• Strong Python skills and fluency in another backend language.
• Experience with distributed systems, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
• Care for security and data protection as part of how you build.

Responsibilities

• Build the backend services and integrations that connect Sapience AI to customer systems (CRM, AMS, knowledge base).
• Design data pipelines to reliably bring knowledge into the platform and keep it current.
• Ship production-grade services under live deployment time pressures while maintaining correctness.
• Integrate deployment-specific logic with MINERVA and COGENT via APIs and extension points.
• Adapt platform reasoning and retrieval to a customer’s domain without forking the core.
• Contribute deployment patterns back into the platform to reduce custom work over time.
• Collaborate with field teams to deliver complete customer solutions and hand off operable systems.
