Job summary

Sapience AI is seeking a Forward Deployed Backend AI Engineer to join our Seattle team. You will build backend services and data pipelines that connect Sapience AI to customers’ CRM, knowledge base, and security systems, delivering production deployments in real-world environments.

You’ll own deployment patterns, data ingestion, MINERVA/COGENT integrations, and security, while collaborating with field teams to ship reliable, scalable solutions that prioritize trust and governance.

Qualifications

• Five+ years building backend systems in production.
• Experience integrating CRM, AMS, and knowledge-platform systems.
• Strong Python skills and at least one other backend language.
• Proven ability to design data pipelines and APIs.
• Experience with security and data protection in deployments.

Responsibilities

• Build backend services and integrations with customer systems (CRM, AMS, knowledge base).
• Design data ingestion pipelines and transform data into a retrievable graph.
• Integrate deployment-specific logic with MINERVA and COGENT APIs.
• Ensure security, privacy, and data governance for deployments.
• Instrument deployments for observability and operability; document and hand off.
