Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Data Center Service Engineer to perform fieldwork at customer sites to resolve and repair server systems. The role supports our global service network and helps build a world-class field engineering organization.

Based in Quincy, WA, this position requires hands-on hardware experience and strong communication. Responsibilities include on-site/remote troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and technical coordination with multiple teams.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with servers (Supermicro, EMC, DELL, HP).
Strong diagnostics for BIOS, drivers, and apps impacting systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication to drive investigations.

Responsibilities

On-site field service and remote troubleshooting of servers in enterprise environments.
Lead preventive maintenance and manage repair/parts cycle times.
Ensure escalation situations are managed and resolved quickly and professionally.
Provide second-line support to resellers and distributors across customer support areas.
Maintain high level enterprise solution product knowledge.
Collaborate with TAM, Service Manager and Product Manager to define service programs.
Provide fault triage data and contribute training materials.
