Job summary

Amazon in Virginia is seeking a Critical Infrastructure Controls Engineer to lead post-event analysis and develop robust control logic for data-center systems. You will own the full engineering lifecycle for legacy pilots, driving reliability improvements across fleet-wide facilities and coordinating with multiple engineering and operations teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ cumulative years of controls experience in data centers, power facilities, or similar.
• Bachelor’s degree in Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• Valid US driver's license and reliable transportation from start date.
• Experience reading construction documents and control diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Lead post-event engineering analysis for controls incidents and develop corrective actions.
• Develop, review, and maintain controls logic and templates for equipment.
• Own full engineering lifecycle for legacy controls pilots to broader rollout.
• Serve as escalation point for complex controls issues and travel to facilities as needed.
• Provide engineering support for controls products and drive fixes with teams.
• Build and maintain technical baselines, test scripts, and playbooks.
• Develop standards and metrics to improve control system reliability.
• Collaborate with operations, commissioning, design, and partner teams to resolve issues.
