Job summary

The City of Lewisville is seeking a ULM Crew Chief to supervise daily water distribution and wastewater collection work. You will lead field crews, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, coordinate tasks, and provide training.

You will operate heavy equipment, review work sites, maintain documentation, and serve as the primary liaison with inspectors and city departments. Requires Texas licenses and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in water or wastewater utility maintenance; one (1) year supervisory experience.
• Licenses: Texas Class A CDL with N endorsement; Class C Water license; Wastewater Collections I license; must obtain Wastewater Collections II within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Directs, coordinates, and delegates field work to crew members; ensures safe, timely, and efficient repairs.
• Monitors day-to-day crew activities and conducts performance evaluations.
• Operates and maintains heavy equipment as needed.
• Leads installation, repair, and maintenance of water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Maintains documentation and prepares work orders and reports.
• Acts as primary contact with customers, inspectors, and other City departments.
