The City of Lewisville is seeking a field-maintenance professional to repair and maintain wastewater collection and water distribution systems and related equipment. The role involves operating heavy equipment, coordinating site safety, and ensuring accurate documentation of work performed.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, two years of related experience, and necessary Texas licenses (CDL-A, water distribution, wastewater collection).

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Texas CDL-A license with appropriate endorsements.
• High school diploma or GED required; two years of related experience.
• Must pass DOT pre-employment screenings and maintain safe driving record.
• Ability to work in field conditions and lift up to 100 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Operates heavy equipment such as mini excavators, rubber tire loaders, skid steers, forklifts, and other equipment to assist with maintenance of water/wastewater lines.
• Transports equipment to/from work site and prepares site with safety devices such as shoring, cones, flags.
• Inspects and performs basic service, preventive maintenance and minor repairs to equipment to keep it safe and functional.
• Assists co-workers in performing tasks; lifts, moves, and sets pipe; turns valves; replaces clamps.
• Performs repairs/maintenance to water and wastewater system components including mains, valves, hydrants, service lines, manholes, pumps and motors.
• Compiles documentation for completed tasks (work orders, service requests).
• Investigates issues using as-builts and GIS mapping.
• Communicates with homeowners/businesses about water/wastewater issues.
• Ensures crew members carry out tasks and report concerns properly.
• Performs site restoration and final cleanup.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
