Job summary

Matrix Service Company is seeking a Field Cost Administrator for an El Segundo, California project-based role. You will set up, update, and analyze project performance, using final estimates and standard cost codes, at the jobsite in El Segundo.

The role involves budgeting, tracking costs, managing change orders, RFIs, and ensuring accurate invoicing and reporting to the project team and client.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Construction Management, Engineering.
• 0-5+ years of Project Controls experience in construction/engineering.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database apps.
• Advanced Excel skills preferred.
• Detail oriented with strong communication and travel willingness.

Responsibilities

• Set up and analyze project budgets using final estimates.
• Assign and review cost codes for labor, materials, and subs.
• Maintain budgets with transfers and change orders.
• Oversee change management and RFIs for EWOs.
• Track costs and forecast cash flow.
• Prepare cost reports for management.
• Assist invoicing and scheduled progress reports.
• Update project schedules with stakeholders.
• Process timesheets and support payroll.
• Coordinate procurements with suppliers.
