PM2CM, Inc. is a professional services firm delivering Program and Project Management, Construction Management and Project Controls during design and construction phases.

We seek a skilled Cost Engineer/Cost Estimator to support budgets, tracking, and forecasting across projects in Los Angeles. Ideal candidates have a minimum 7 years in construction cost estimating, strong Excel skills, and the ability to develop scope and analyze costs with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (education, training, and experience)
• Minimum 7 years full-time paid professional experience in construction cost estimating for facilities or school building projects
• Knowledge of current local construction labor and material costs
• Extensive experience estimating the scope of work for change orders
• Ability to compare independent cost estimates with contractor proposals
• Ability to develop scope of work from RFI/RFC responses and estimate detailed costs
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsabilités

• Uses MS Excel to analyze and aggregate data related to budgets, actual costs, and forecast costs; proficient with advanced Excel functions
• Reports to a Senior Cost Engineer and helps develop project budgets and forecast costs
• Interacts with Project Managers, Engineers, Procurement, and Construction Managers
• Demonstrates strong communication, initiative, and teamwork
• Supports cost controls, budgeting, and forecasting activities
