Job summary

Matrix Service Co. is seeking a Field Cost Administrator to support project controls on site in El Segundo, California. The role focuses on budgeting, cost tracking, and forecasting for assigned projects.

You will develop budgets from awarded scope, monitor labor and material costs, manage change orders and RFIs, and collaborate with operations and clients to ensure accurate invoicing and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, construction management or related field.
• 0–5+ years of Project Controls experience in construction / engineering.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other database apps.
• Advanced Excel skills preferred.
• Strong analytical skills, cost accounting and finance knowledge.
• Detail oriented with good communication abilities.
• Willing to travel and work overtime; assigned to a job site for the project duration.

Responsibilities

• Set up and update project budgets and cost codes.
• Track, forecast, and analyze project costs.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and cost reports.
• Support accounts receivable with invoicing.
• Manage change orders and RFIs with project teams.
