Job summary

Brice Equipment, LLC in Nevada is seeking an Industrial Services Technician I to install, maintain, and repair conveyor belting and related equipment across mining and heavy industrial sites.

You will assist senior technicians, learn splicing methods, and follow MSHA/OSHA safety rules while supporting field operations, sometimes traveling to jobs for 2–3 weeks as needed. This entry-level role emphasizes safe operation, measurement, setup of vulcanizing equipment, and basic paperwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• No prior experience required; mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Ability to meet requirements for industrial or mining sites required.
• Valid state driver's license and qualified to operate a vehicle.
• Ability to pass drug, driving, and background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing conveyor belts for mechanical or vulcanized splicing.
• Help with measuring, cutting, grinding, buffing, and skiving belt materials.
• Set up and break down vulcanizing equipment, tools, and work areas.
• Support vulcanized splice processes under supervision.
• Operate basic hand and power tools: grinders, cutters, drills, impact guns, etc.
• Follow belt installation procedures: tracking, tensioning, and alignment.
• Perform housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Complete basic field paperwork (splice reports, belt logs, QAQC checks).
• Load, unload, and secure tools, equipment, and materials.
• Always follow MSHA/OSHA safety rules, job hazard analyses, and lockout/tagout.
• Assist in troubleshooting belt damage, mistracking, and common conveyor issues.
