Job summary
Motion Industries is seeking Conveyor Belt Technicians to support customers at shop or on-site locations. You will perform on-site belt installation, preventative maintenance, and basic millwright tasks while ensuring safety and quality standards.
No experience required; training provided under management and a crew lead. Roles involve operating forklifts/telehandlers, reading blueprints, inspecting equipment, and delivering frontline customer service across diverse environments.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a technical degree with 0–3 years related experience.
- MSHA Surface and Underground certification highly preferred.
- Forklift/telehandler certifications a plus.
Responsibilities
- Performs on-site belt installation and preventative maintenance.
- Repair belt using methods such as vulcanizing and splicing.
- Set up, tear down and maintain support structures.
- Grease and change rollers; install motors, gears, pulleys, panels.
- Operate telehandlers, forklifts or man-lifts as needed.
- Read blueprints and manuals to determine procedures.
- Frontline customer service and professional interactions.
- Adhere to safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
