Job summary

Transco Northwest Inc. seeks a dependable Conveyor Belt Technician to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot conveyor systems at industrial sites. The role requires mechanical skills, safety awareness, and willingness to perform physically demanding work.

Ideal candidates have experience with belt splicing, vulcanizing, welding, and millwright work, and can read drawings and instructions. Travel to customer sites and adherence to OSHA/MSHA safety rules are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with conveyor belts and industrial maintenance is preferred.
• Conveyor belt installation and splicing experience strongly preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Ability to travel to customer sites as required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair conveyor belt systems.
• Perform belt splicing, vulcanizing, lacing, and mechanical fastening as required.
• Remove and replace damaged or worn conveyor belts.
• Inspect belts, pulleys, rollers, idlers, bearings, motors, and other conveyor components.
• Track and tension conveyor belts to ensure proper operation.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and complete necessary repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections.
• Use hand tools, power tools, grinders, impact tools, and other industrial equipment.
• Perform basic fabrication and welding when qualified.
• Read measurements, work instructions, and equipment drawings.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
• Complete work documentation and communicate equipment issues to supervisors.
• Follow all OSHA and MSHA safety requirements.
