Job summary

Motion is seeking Field Service Technicians for MI Conveyance Solutions to perform on-site belt installation, splicing, and maintenance, including occasional emergency repairs.

You will fabricate belts in shop, perform rigging, and carry out basic millwright tasks while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. A technical degree and up to 3 years of related experience are typical requirements.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a technical degree and 0–3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
• Ability to read measuring equipment and perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to operate shop equipment safely and follow guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs on-site belt installation, splicing, and preventive maintenance; handles emergency repairs as needed.
• Fabricate belts in shop and perform rigging to move belt rolls and tooling.
• Performs basic millwright tasks such as torch heating, cutting, and installation of components.
• Serves as customer contact on technical and service-related issues; communicates findings clearly.
• Ensures safety and regulatory compliance; works under supervision on moderately complex repairs.
