Job summary

Motion Industries (MOT) is seeking a Field Service Technician for MI Conveyance Solutions in the Denver area. You will perform on-site belt installation, splicing, preventative maintenance, and occasional emergency repairs, following safety guidelines.

Duties include fabricating belts, rigging, basic millwright tasks, diagnostics, and providing clear technical communication to customers, with on-call support as needed.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a technical degree and 0–3 years of related experience.
• Ability to read measuring tools and perform basic math.
• Ability to operate shop equipment and be trained to operate manlifts, forklifts.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to drive company vehicles within one year; DoT preferred.
• Adheres to safety, regulatory and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Performs on-site belt installation, splicing, and preventative maintenance; responds to emergency repairs.
• Fabricates lightweight and heavyweight belts in shop.
• Performs rigging to move belt rolls, presses and tooling on/off conveyors.
• Duties include basic millwright tasks: torch heating, cutting, installation of bearings, pulleys, gearboxes and motors.
• Serves as customer contact on technical and service-related issues; communicates findings to clients.
