Job summary

Trane Technologies, a world leader in HVAC and building controls, seeks a field-based controls technician to commission and service systems at customer sites. You will coordinate with customers, document verification steps, and stay current on installation and maintenance of direct digital control systems.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors degree in HVAC or controls, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with laptop and handheld computers (e.g. iPad).
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with clean driving record as described.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning, programming, setting up graphics, communications link, end-to-end testing, troubleshooting, and servicing on assigned projects.
• Documenting point-to-point verification, sequence of operations validation, and job close out requirements.
• Representing the company by serving as the direct customer contact and servicing products and equipment on assigned projects to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with team leader and customer to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs by forecasting issues and gathering materials.
• Stay current on Trane products related to installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of direct digital control systems.
• Enforce safety standards and maintain security of company assets.
• Display team effort with flexibility to work overtime and weekends, including overnight stays.
