Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an on-site HVAC/Controls installer to configure and commission building automation systems at customer locations. You will interpret control drawings, install conduit and end devices, and coordinate with trades while maintaining inventories and documentation.

Travel and overtime may be required. The role emphasizes safety, customer satisfaction, and hands-on diagnosis of direct digital controls and HVAC systems, with benefits including health insurance and a 401(k)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; 2–5 years HVAC/Controls experience preferred.
• Technical school or formal training is a plus.
• Current valid driver’s license for 12+ months and clean driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install building automation systems using a variety of hand tools and interpret control drawings.
• Prepare for on-site installation by assessing layout, coordinating with trades, and gathering materials.
• Maintain inventory and document all activities, including time, progress, and duration.
• Serve as direct customer contact and troubleshoot/repair equipment on site.
• Ensure safety standards and maintain vehicles, tools, and company assets.
