Job summary

DEPCOM Power is seeking an Assistant Construction Manager to support field execution on large-scale solar and energy storage projects. You will partner with Construction Managers to drive safe, high-quality delivery and help develop field leadership teams.

Travel includes daily per diem with home rotations every 3-4 weeks. Compensation ranges from $110,000 to $140,000, depending on experience and location. This is a site-based, full-time role in Altoona, KS.

Qualifications

Experience on large-scale industrial, infrastructure, renewable energy, or utility construction projects.

Responsibilities

Support field execution across civil, mechanical, and electrical scopes on utility-scale solar and energy storage projects.
Assist in developing and coaching Superintendent teams by reinforcing expectations and accountability.
Coordinate with Safety, Quality, Environmental, Logistics, and Project Management teams on priorities and execution plans.
Monitor project performance related to safety, schedule, quality, cost, and environmental compliance.
Participate in weekly risk assessments and maintain the Risk & Opportunity log.
Support environmental compliance activities, including SWPPP, permitting, erosion control, and regulatory obligations.
Manage subcontractor performance by monitoring productivity, schedule adherence, safety expectations, and contract compliance.
Review subcontractor change orders, invoices, and documentation with leadership to validate scope and costs.
Develop and execute look-ahead schedules and identify constructability and coordination challenges.
