Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Company, seeks an Assistant Construction Manager to support field execution on utility-scale solar and energy storage projects in Altoona, Kansas. This full-time, site-based role includes daily per diem and home rotations roughly every 3–4 weeks.

Compensation ranges from $110,000 to $140,000 depending on experience. You will partner with Construction Managers to drive safe, high-quality delivery, develop field leadership, and coordinate civil, mechanical, and electrical

Qualifications

• Construction experience on large-scale industrial, infrastructure, renewable energy, or utility projects with field execution.
• Experience coordinating work with superintendents, subcontractors, or multiple construction disciplines while supporting safety, schedule, quality, and cost objectives.
• Experience reviewing schedules, budgets, contracts, change orders, or construction documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Construction Manager to support field execution across civil, mechanical, and electrical scopes for utility-scale solar and energy storage projects.
• Assist in developing and coaching Superintendent teams by reinforcing expectations and accountability.
• Coordinate with Safety, Quality, Environmental, Logistics, and Project Management teams to align on priorities.
• Monitor project performance related to safety, schedule, quality, cost, and environmental compliance.
• Contribute to Risk & Opportunity logs and weekly risk assessments.
