Job summary

DEPCOM Power is seeking an Assistant Construction Manager to support field execution on large solar and energy storage projects. You will partner with Construction Managers and project teams to drive safe, high-quality delivery across civil, mechanical, and electrical scopes.

You will help develop field leadership, coordinate with subcontractors, customers, and internal stakeholders, and contribute to processes that keep safety, schedule, budget, and quality on track.

Qualifications

• Construction experience on large-scale industrial, infrastructure, renewable energy, or utility construction projects.
• Experience coordinating work with superintendents, subcontractors, or multiple construction disciplines.
• Experience reviewing project schedules, budgets, contracts, change orders, or construction documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Construction Manager to support field execution across civil, mechanical, and electrical scopes.
• Assist in developing and coaching Superintendent teams.
• Support coordination with Safety, Quality, Environmental, Logistics, and Project Management teams.
• Help monitor project performance related to safety, schedule, quality, cost, and environmental compliance.
• Participate in weekly risk assessments and maintain the Risk & Opportunity log.
• Support environmental compliance activities, including SWPPP requirements, permitting, erosion control measures, and regulatory obligations.
• Assist in managing subcontractor performance by monitoring productivity, schedule adherence, safety expectations, and contract compliance.
• Review subcontractor change order requests, invoices, and supporting documentation while partnering with project leadership to validate scope, progress, and costs.
• Support development and execution of comprehensive three-week look-ahead schedules and help identify constructability, logistics, and coordination challenges before they impact project performance.
• Build strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders through proactive communication and reliable execution.
