Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking an Assistant Construction Superintendent to oversee safety, schedule adherence, and field operations on projects nationwide. You will work closely with the Construction Superintendent and project team to ensure safety compliance, craft supervision, scheduling, and quality control align with company standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field or equivalent education/experience
• Five (5) years’ experience in construction management or a related field
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to function as part of a high-performance team
• Excellent working knowledge of construction methods, facilities operations, and building systems
• Experience with project scheduling and coordination with trade partners
• Proficiency in MS Office 365 (Excel, Project, Word, SharePoint) and Adobe Suite

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is incorporated into job planning and execution.
• Create AHAs/STAs with Foreman for all self-performed work.
• Review AHAs for trade partners.
• Create material handling and site utilization plans.
• Coordinate with Project Coordinator on material needs, RFIs, etc.
• Engage in project scheduling activities and maintain a four-week schedule.
• Coordinate and supervise company workforce in area.
• Facilitate coordination and scheduling of trade partners with foremen.
• Maintain accurate time keeping, project logs, and cost records.
• Ensure material received is inspected and properly signed/coded and filed with jobsite administrator.
• Responsible for all quality control on the project, for both company and subs.
