Hensel Phelps is seeking an Area Superintendent to supervise a project area, lead field management activities, and ensure safety, schedule, and quality goals are met. The role requires coordinating with engineers, trade partners, and foremen to drive on-time delivery and cost control.

The AS will oversee cost records, material handling plans, and punch list processes while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety on site.

Formación

• Bachelor-level degree required in civil/structural engineering, architecture, or construction management.
• 5–6 years of experience on large commercial construction projects.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Proficiency with Excel-based templates, Prolog, Primavera, and AutoDesk tools.
• Experience in construction layout, blueprint reading, and shop drawing reading.
• OSHA 10 preferred; CPR & First Aid certification is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate, supervise and mentor the company workforce in their area.
• Plan and coordinate field construction work with trade partners.
• Participate in weekly schedule and management meetings with trade partners.
• Promote and enforce site safety plans within their area.
• Create AHAs/STAs with foremen for all self-performed work.
• Review AHAs for trade partners.
• Maintain portion of the four-week schedule for their area to ensure timely project completion.
• Keep accurate cost and production records.
• Coordinate material handling and site utilization plans for their area.
• Ensure proper inspection of received materials and signed, coded receiving tickets.
• Oversee quality control and establish high-level standards with partners.
• Coordinate punch list processes for owner turnover.
• Develop relationships with owner, architect, engineer and trade partners to ensure quality and service.
• Participate in project coordination meetings and assist BIM/VDC engineers to keep submittals on schedule.
