Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Project Superintendent to lead the construction process on major projects. You will provide daily coordination of work, ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence, and interface with owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners to deliver on-time, on-budget results.

The role requires supervision of a diverse team of field personnel, collaboration with QC and safety staff, and strong focus on process improvement and site logistics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7–8 years of experience on large commercial construction projects.
• Ability to plan and coordinate safety, quality, and scheduling across the project.
• Strong communication with owners, architects, engineers and trade partners.

Responsibilities

• Safety planning is included in pre-job planning and is foremost in daily operations.
• Enforce all project, governmental and company safety regulations and requirements.
• Drive Hensel Phelps’s safety culture on the project with safety managers.
• Responsible for all quality control on the project and coordination with QC staff.
• Develop and timely execute the project schedule and manage logistics.
• Collaborate with project staff and trade partners to develop, update and manage the schedule; oversee job planning and site utilization.
• Plan and organize jobsite equipment needs; ensure safe operation and permits.
• Coordinate with the equipment manager for company-owned gear.
• Develop and supervise all field personnel on the project; hire and develop hourly staff.
