Job summary

Morton Buildings, Inc. is seeking a Construction Service Crew Member in Watertown, SD. You will repair buildings, read plans, and work with a team to ensure quality construction and a positive customer experience.

Role involves 9–10 hour days during peak season, travel up to 25%, and opportunities for progressive pay increases. Benefits include ESOP, comprehensive health coverage, paid holidays and vacation, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Building construction/post-frame experience preferred (on the job or in school)
• Willingness to participate in and complete a training program
• A valid driver's license is preferred
• Available to work 9-10 hours during peak season
• Ability to take direction
• Produce quality work efficiently
• Comply with safety procedures
• Operate tools safely and properly
• Heavy lifting up to 100 pounds
• Work at heights up to 40 feet
• Travel up to 25% including overnight stays

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply Morton Buildings' safety and construction procedures
• Read and build according to construction plans
• Execute repairs including doors, roofing, siding, gutters, and footings
• Operate hand tools and equipment safely
• Adapt to varying weather and schedules
• Work with crew to maintain a safe, productive environment
• Troubleshoot and solve problems
• Be open to advancement
• Organize materials and plan daily activities
• Communicate effectively with team
