Job summary

Morton Buildings, Inc. is seeking a Construction Service Crew Member to join an active team repairing building projects nationwide.

You will read plans, apply safety standards, and perform varied repairs—from doors and roofing to siding and footings—on buildings in different weather conditions and heights. Earn $23.00 to $25.00 per hour, with three years of progressive pay increases based on experience, training, and attendance.

Qualifications

• Building construction experience preferred (post-frame, carpentry or framing)
• Willingness to participate in and complete a training program
• Possession of a valid driver’s license preferred
• Availability to work 9–10 hours during peak season
• Ability to take direction and produce quality work safely

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply Morton Buildings safety and construction procedures
• Read, understand and build according to plans
• Perform repairs and maintenance on buildings (doors, windows, roofing, siding, etc.)
• Operate hand tools and equipment safely
• Adapt to different repairs and weather conditions
• Collaborate with crew to stay safe, organized and productive
• Troubleshoot and solve problems
• Be prepared for a 25% travel requirement
• Assist with organizing materials and daily planning
