Bolton & Menk, Inc. is offering a DOD SkillBridge Construction Project Representative program in Minnesota. The role involves field observations, staking, and documentation on assigned projects, with collaboration across staff, landowners, contractors, and subcontractors.

Ideal candidates are active military members with limited service remaining, able to work outdoors, and possessing or willing to develop AutoCAD drafting skills. Relocation is not included, and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be a Military Service Member with 180 days of service or fewer remaining before your separation date.
• Must have the ability to work in extended outdoor conditions and be physically capable of navigating rugged terrain for the purpose of performing the duties outlined above.
• General knowledge of public infrastructure/civil construction and AutoCAD drafting are preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable under the firm's standard rates. Must also own their own transportation. You will be reimbursed for business-related travel. A check of the candidate's motor vehicle record will be conducted as part of the on-boarding

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction observations and construction staking on assigned projects
• Maintain detailed records and documentation of construction activities, along with recording quantities and materials testing
• Perform basic engineering computations and make basic engineering survey measurements
• Gain experience reviewing and approving project submittals, contract pay vouchers, work orders, change orders and supplemental agreements
• This position will interact with staff, landowners, contractors, and subcontractors
