Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, is a full-service design-build, industrial construction and management firm operating nationwide. This position is field-based at a client project site, performing field engineering, site administration, estimating, scheduling, safety and direction on assigned projects.

Work is performed under general supervision from either field or office locations depending on project needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 9 years of relevant construction experience.
• Associate degree with 6 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coordinate with the field lead on scheduling, daily reports, quality control reports, conformances to drawings, and communication with the subcontractors.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure work is safe, correct, meets quality control measures, and the drawings' intent.
• Ensure all work adheres to the established project schedule; escalate potential delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Write Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review with the site construction lead or Project Construction Manager.
• Take progress photographs of construction events and label each photograph.
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports.
• Ensure contractors use the latest design drawing revision for construction.
• May provide assistance to Project Construction Manager.
• May be responsible for key trade/subcontractor in support of overall project.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments for client approval with the Project Manager.
• Provide proper correspondence with project management and clients for clear, concise communication.
• Maintain on-site records and files per CDM Smith document control requirements.
• Understand and follow the Quality Policy and Systems Work Instructions.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent plus nine (9) years of relevant experience

Associate degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience

Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience (Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline)
