Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, seeks an Intermediate Construction Professional for field-based work on client projects in the heavy industrial sector. The role focuses on field engineering, site administration, estimating, scheduling, safety adherence and technical direction at project sites.

Work is performed under general supervision in the field or office, with travel across the United States.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine (9) years of relevant experience
• Associate degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience The associate or bachelor's degree must be in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the site construction lead on scheduling, daily/quality reports and communication with subcontractors
• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure safety, quality and adherence to drawings
• Ensure work aligns with the project schedule; escalate delays to the Project Construction Manager
• Prepare Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review and record keeping
• Take progress photos and label each photograph for project records
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports and ensure latest design drawings are used
• May provide assistance to the Project Construction Manager as needed
• May be responsible for key trade/subcontractor coordination and contract extras for client approval
