Job summary

CDM Smith seeks a Site Construction Manager 1 to lead field operations across client project sites in the United States. You will ensure safety, quality and schedule adherence while representing the company on-site and coordinating with the Project Construction Manager and clients.

The role is field-heavy, requiring coordination of subcontractors, ongoing reporting, and maintaining records in line with company procedures. 100% field-based work with travel across the United States.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus twelve (12) years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus nine (9) years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience. The degree must be in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline. At least three (3) years of relevant experience must be in Construction Management/Supervision.

Responsibilities

• Oversees subcontractors and construction to ensure work is safe, correct, and meets quality control measures.
• Ensures all work adheres to the established project schedule and escalates delays.
• Writes Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review by site lead or Project Construction Manager.
• Takes progress photographs and labels them for records.
• Prepares Monthly Progress Reports.
• Ensures contractors use latest design revision for construction.
• Prepares contract extras and progress payments for client approval with Project Manager.
• Maintains clear, professional correspondence with project management and clients.
