Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intermediate Construction Professional to work in the field at client project sites. You will support field operations, scheduling, documentation, and quality control under supervision.

The role focuses on coordinating with site leads, overseeing subcontractors, and ensuring adherence to drawings and specifications. Travel is 100% across the United States; OSHA 30 preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with nine years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree with six years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with three years in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
• OSHA 30 preferred.
• Ability to work at project locations throughout the United States; 100% field work.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coordinate field operations with the site construction lead on scheduling, daily reports, quality control reports, conformances to drawings and specifications, and communication with subcontractors.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure work is safe, correct, meets quality control measures, and the intent of the drawings.
• Ensure all work adheres to the established project schedule; escalate potential or actual delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Write Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review with the site construction lead or Project Construction Manager which become record documents.
• Take progress photographs of construction events and label and identify each photograph.
• Assist site construction lead or Project Construction Manager with Monthly Progress Reports.
• Ensure contractors use the latest design drawing revisions for construction.
• May provide assistance to Project Construction Manager.
• May be responsible for key trade and/or subcontractor in support of overall project.
• Prepares contract extras and progress payments for client approval working with Project Manager.
• Provide proper correspondence with project management and clients such that all project issues are handled clearly and professionally.
• Maintains on-site records and files per The Perry Group document control requirements.
• Understands The Perry Group Quality Policy Statement and follows the Quality Systems Work Instructions.
