Job summary

Stellar, headquartered in Jacksonville, FL, seeks an Assistant Superintendent to support daily field operations and work closely with the Superintendent to keep construction activities running efficiently. The role demands keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication with multiple teams on site.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, with proficiency in project planning and office software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience (3+) in construction or related field.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in computer software and project management practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in managing daily operations of the construction department.
• Ensure all construction activities meet the organization's high standards.
• Oversee and coordinate all trades and subcontractors per Superintendent’s directions.
• Maintain and distribute up to date drawings and specifications.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate necessary supplies and equipment needed to complete tasks onsite.
• Monitor project progress and report milestones and any issues.
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality and safety policies and procedures for the project.
• Assist in scheduling and planning construction activities.
• Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to ensure workmanship conforms to specifications and adherence to the construction schedule.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
• Other duties as assigned
