Job summary

BLHI is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the Sr. Project Superintendent in daily field supervision of construction activities. You will help enforce safety policies, direct crews, schedule work, and ensure quality per contract documents.

You will monitor progress, assist in meetings, and help manage project budgets and owner relationships, with an emphasis on organization and effective communication across teams.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ experience as an assistant superintendent with 3 years of total construction experience.
• Experience in construction management, commercial/hospitality, buildings and infrastructure.
• Degree in Construction Management, engineering, or comparable degree.
• Experience managing project budgets, developing and maintaining schedules, and owner relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assist Sr. Project Superintendent in day-to-day field supervision of construction activities.
• Ensure safety policies are implemented and enforced.
• Direct craft personnel and subcontractors; schedule and sequence daily work.
• Oversee quality, scope compliance, and progress per contract documents.
• Maintain QC/QA files and update as-built drawings; attend progress meetings.
