Job summary

Clark Construction Group seeks an Assistant Superintendent to oversee self-performed and subcontracted work, ensuring adherence to contract documents and the project schedule while fostering a culture of safety and quality.

The role coordinates field operations for specific areas or trades, ensuring work aligns with project milestones and schedules, and enforces safety and quality control procedures on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of construction management experience in a field supervisory role.
• Ability to direct work of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Working knowledge of scheduling, contract administration, equipment, manpower, etc.
• Familiarity with safety programs and government regulations (OSHA).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate installation of work per contract documents, project schedule, and planned sequence.
• Know contract documents and scope of work for assigned areas/trades.
• Understand duration of activities and plan accordingly.
• Develop utilization plans for equipment and manage resources.
• Track material/equipment delivery dates impacting areas/trades.
• Monitor field workforce, manage costs, and address budget variances.
• Implement safety program; conduct inspections ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain good relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
