Job summary

B.L. Harbert International, LLC is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the Sr. Project Superintendent in day-to-day field supervision for the Georgia project.

You will help enforce safety policies, coordinate crews and subcontractors, monitor progress, and ensure work meets contract documents and quality standards. The role requires leadership, scheduling expertise, and the ability to read construction drawings, manage budgets, and engage with project stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, engineering, or comparable degree.
• 1-3 years’ experience as an assistant superintendent with 3 years of total construction experience.
• Experience in construction management, commercial/hospitality, buildings and infrastructure.
• Experience managing project budgets, developing and maintaining schedules, and owner relationships.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be open to relocation.
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA requirements for construction safety and an OSHA 10-hour certification in the last five years.
• Ability to read and decipher construction documents.
• Ability to identify quality workmanship as it relates to building codes, industry standards, and contract documents.
• Ability to produce, maintain, and direct the project schedule.

Responsibilities

• Helping supervise day-to-day field construction activities to meet contract requirements and quality standards.
• Directing craft personnel and subcontractors and coordinating daily work sequences.
• Enforcing safety policies and maintaining field documentation (reports, schedules, emails).
• Attending pre-construction and progress meetings and monitoring progress against schedules.
• Managing staffing needs, evaluating performance, and addressing field staff issues.
