Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a field-based construction professional for a project site in Phoenix, AZ. The role focuses on coordinating daily field operations, overseeing subcontractors, maintaining safety and quality, and ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications.

You will prepare daily and inspection reports, manage on-site documentation, and support the Project Construction Manager with progress reporting and contract administration. 100% travel to project sites is implied.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine (9) years of construction or field operations experience.
• Associate degree plus six (6) years of construction or field operations experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience. The associate or bachelor’s degree must be in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate overall field operations with site construction lead, including scheduling, daily reporting, quality control, and subcontractor communication.
• Oversee subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, and alignment with drawings and specs.
• Ensure work adheres to project schedule and escalate delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Prepare Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports as official project records.
• Take progress photos and label each photo for records.
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports.
• Ensure latest design drawing revisions are used on site.
• May support the Project Construction Manager and key trades.
