Job summary

Stellar Group Inc. seeks an Assistant Superintendent to support daily field office operations on Baker County, FL projects.

You will assist the Superintendent, oversee trades, keep drawings and specs current, monitor inventory and progress, and help implement quality and safety procedures on site. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or 3 years’ experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and proficiency with project planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or educational equivalent years (3) of experience required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in computer software and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in managing the daily operations of the construction department.
• Ensure all construction activities meet the organization's high standards.
• Oversee and coordinate all trades on the project, including subcontractors according to Superintendent’s direction.
• Maintain and distribute up to date drawings and specifications.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate necessary supplies and equipment needed to complete tasks onsite.
• Monitor project progress and report on milestones and any issues.
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality and safety policies and procedures for the project.
• Assist in scheduling and planning construction activities.
• Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to ensure workmanship conforms to specifications and schedule.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
