Job summary

Clark Construction is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to coordinate field operations on a Tennessee project in Oak Ridge. You will supervise subcontractors and in-house teams, ensure work aligns with the project schedule, and uphold safety and quality standards across activities.

The role requires knowledge of contract documents, sequencing, and effective communication with trades managers, coordinators, and site leadership.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, architecture, CM, or related field preferred.
• 3–6 years of field supervision and construction management experience.
• Ability to direct work of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Working knowledge of scheduling, contracts, equipment, and manpower.
• Familiarity with OSHA and safety standards and their implementation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise installation of work per contract documents and project schedule.
• Know scope of work for assigned areas or trades and monitor durations.
• Develop plans for optimum equipment utilization and material deliveries.
• Maintain safety inspections and enforce company safety standards.
• Build relationships with subcontractors and suppliers and pursue right-fit opportunities.
