Job summary

HNTB is seeking an intern-level Inspector to support daily construction oversight in Baltimore. You will observe contractor work, document progress, perform basic measurements, and maintain daily logs to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.

Ideal candidates are current/former HNTB interns with a high school diploma and basic Office skills; responsibilities include testing, reporting discrepancies, and supporting smaller projects under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of construction related experience.
• All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Observes and verifies work in progress to ensure compliance with contract documents.
• Performs standard calculations and measurements of completed work.
• Maintains daily inspector reports and reviews discrepancies.
• Performs on-site material testing and produces as-constructed sketches.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
