Job summary

HNTB is seeking an intern for on-site inspection roles to monitor compliance with plans and specifications. The role involves daily logs, on-site testing, and documenting discrepancies with Field Engineer oversight.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED and relevant construction experience, plus the ability to interpret schedules and use testing equipment. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret schedules.

Responsibilities

• Observes, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with contract documents and plans.
• Utilizes engineering inspection practices to perform standard mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work to date.
• Maintains Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contactor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified.
• Performs on‑site material testing and produces as‑constructed sketches as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
