Job summary

Benesch invites construction professionals to join our team as a Construction Representative. You will oversee daily inspection of road, water main, and sewer projects, manage client relationships, and contribute to strategic growth.

This role requires coordinating with project supervisors, documenting progress, and ensuring compliance with procedures. Ideal candidates hold a BS in Civil/Construction Eng with DOT experience and are adept at using ArcGIS, MicroStation, Geopak, or AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Construction Engineering or related engineering curriculum; EIT preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Excellent organizational abilities and budget/schedule discipline.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Review and assure project supervisor of budget and schedule adequacy.
• Perform construction observation of activities and follow project procedures.
• Maintain a field book per project procedures.
• Measure construction work and calculate pay item quantities.
• Prepare Daily Inspector reports and other project documentation.
• Report progress including technical issues and remaining work to the supervisor.
• Review plans, specs and submittals related to assigned work.
• Provide design or professional assistance to project managers.
• Maintain company vehicle or equipment on the project.
