Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Construction Representative to oversee daily inspection and documentation of infrastructure projects, including road, water main, and sewer work. You will manage client relationships and contribute to strategic growth within the construction group.

The ideal candidate brings a BS in Civil/Construction Engineering, 0–5 years of DOT experience, and proficiency with ArcGIS, MicroStation, Geopak, or AutoCAD, plus strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Construction Engineering or related field; EIT preferred.
• 0-5 years of experience with DOT preferred.
• Experience with field projects encouraged.
• Proficient in ArcGIS, MicroStation, Geopak, and/or AutoCAD.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Review and assure budget and schedule adequacy with the project supervisor.
• Conduct construction observation and follow project procedures.
• Maintain a field book per project procedures.
• Perform measurements and quantity calculations of pay items.
• Prepare Inspector’s Daily Reports and other project documentation.
• Report progress of work including technical issues and remaining tasks.
• Review plans, specifications, and submittals for assigned work.
• Provide design or professional assistance to project managers.
• Maintain company vehicle or equipment assigned for use on the project.
