Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Construction Representative to oversee field inspection and documentation for infrastructure projects, including road, water main, and sewer work. You will help manage client relationships and contribute to strategic growth of the construction group.

The role requires a BS in Civil or Construction Engineering (EIT preferred) and 0–5 years of DOT experience. Proficiency with ArcGIS, MicroStation, Geopak, or AutoCAD is desirable.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Construction Engineering; EIT preferred.
• 0–5 years of DOT experience preferred.
• Experience with ArcGIS, MicroStation, Geopak or AutoCAD.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and assure budget and schedule adequacy on projects.
• Perform construction observation and follow project procedures.
• Maintain a field book per project procedures.
• Measure construction work and pay item quantities.
• Prepare Inspector's Daily Reports and other documentation.
• Report progress to the project supervisor including issues and deficiencies.
• Review plans, specs, and submittals for assigned work.
• Provide design or professional assistance to project managers.
• Maintain company vehicle or equipment used on projects.
