Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Construction Representative to support a broad range of infrastructure projects, including road, water main, and sewer work. You will conduct daily inspections, document activities, and assist project managers with client relations and field operations.

The role requires a BS in Civil or Construction Engineering, 0–3 years of experience with WisDOT, and proficiency with ArcGIS, MicroStation, Geopak, or AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Construction Engineering or related field.
• 0–3 years of experience with WisDOT preferred.
• Experience on field projects desired.
• ArcGIS, MicroStation, Geopak and/or AutoCAD desirable.
• Excellent communication and intrapersonal skills.
• Strong organization and ability to manage budgets and schedules.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Review and assure project supervisor of budget and schedule adequacy.
• Perform construction observation of activities and follow project procedures.
• Maintain a field book per project procedures.
• Measure construction work and compute pay item quantities.
• Prepare Inspector’s Daily Reports and other docs as required.
• Report progress and issues to project supervisor, including deficiencies.
• Review plans, specs, and submittals for assigned work.
• Provide design or other professional assistance to project managers.
• Maintain company vehicle and equipment for project use.
