Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Field Construction Support role to join the project team on a Phoenix site. The position emphasizes coordinating field operations, tracking progress, and ensuring adherence to drawings and schedules.

You will oversee subcontractors, maintain records, prepare daily and quality reports, and assist the Project Construction Manager to keep the project on time and within budget. 100% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 9 years of construction or field operations experience.
• Associate degree with 6 years of construction or field operations experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience in Construction Management or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate overall field operations with the site construction lead, including scheduling, daily reporting, quality control, and subcontractor communication.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction activities to ensure safety, quality, and alignment with project drawings and specifications.
• Ensure adherence to established project schedule and escalate delays as needed to the Project Construction Manager.
• Prepare Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports as official project records.
• Maintain on-site records according to document control standards and quality procedures.
• Assist Project Construction Manager with Monthly Progress Reports and ensure use of latest design revisions.
