Job summary

Mobile Communications America, Inc. is seeking a Communications Systems Technician in Sumter, SC to install, program, and maintain complex wireless systems for mission-critical customers.

You will support public safety, healthcare, utilities, and manufacturing sectors, ensuring reliability and timely issue resolution. The role requires a two-year degree in Electronics or IT (preferred), experience with two-way radio tech, and proficiency with testing equipment.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing mobile communications equipment.
• Two-year degree in Electronics, IT, or applicable field preferred.
• Proficiency with testing equipment (spectrum analyzers, system analyzers, watt meters, TDRs, FDRs, multimeters) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Installing, programming, and maintaining complex communication equipment to get customers up and running.
• Fixing the system if things go wrong and bringing communications back online for public safety, hospitals, utilities, manufacturing, and other mission-critical customers.
• Designing and upgrading customer systems to the latest technologies and solutions.
• Assisting and collaborating with the team, Service Manager, and customer.
• Demonstrating willingness to learn and be mentored on new technology in communications and equipment.
• Completing assigned tickets properly and on time.
• Making minor modifications to electronic circuitry per customer request and/or deploying factory software/firmware updates.
• Serving in an on-call rotation and providing 27/7 technical support.
