Job summary

Mobile Communications America, Inc. (MCA) is seeking a Communication Systems Technician in Panama City, FL to install, program, and maintain complex wireless communication equipment for critical customers.

You will support the Voice division, collaborate with the Service Manager, and provide 24/7 technical support as part of an on-site team. The role requires at least two years of hands-on experience with mobile comms gear, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass security checks.

Qualifications

• Two or more years experience diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing mobile communications equipment.
• Willingness to learn and be mentored on new technology in communications and equipment.
• Must pass a 7-year background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Two-year degree in Electronics, IT, or applicable subject preferred.
• P25 and/or MotoTRBO experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, and maintain complex communication equipment to get customers up and running.
• Troubleshoot and restore systems for public safety, hospitals, utilities, manufacturing, and other mission-critical customers.
• Design and upgrade customer systems with latest technologies.
• Collaborate with team, Service Manager, and customers.
• Perform on-call rotation and 27/7 technical support as needed.
• Complete tickets properly and on time.
• Make minor modifications to circuitry and deploy software/firmware updates.
